Ben spent ten years as co-founder and director of a small consultancy of his own — so he knows what it takes to run a small business from the inside. He wishes he'd had Understudy back then. He does now.
Ben's co-developer is Claude, the AI system from Anthropic. Claude writes most of the code. Ben reviews every line, makes every architectural call, and owns every commercial decision. That's not a gimmick — it's the only way a small team builds enterprise-grade data infrastructure in 2026.
